never be judgemental...remember karma...never be judgemental...remember karma...

I try to live my life quietly, causing no harm to others. Maybe I could be a positive influence to someone, sometimes, when I can. I really do. Last night CS's blog got to me. I was tried. I was sweaty and out of breath and tired and ran out of steam sprinting and .... but I kept trying. I really did.

Everyone has their reasons and motives for their actions. It could be the shame of being in back (even though there is no shame if you're really trying). Or not wanting to be left behind (I really know this feeling). Or not wanting to be singled out as "last" which may feel like "failure" (Yup know this one too). Or not wanting to be laughed at by your friends (well I laugh at myself so it's ok). Or just not caring about character because there hasn't been enough of life's experiences to built any yet. Or... who knows. We ALL have our reasons for doing and being who and what we are.

But last night there were others I know who weren't giving 100%. Hell no one is expected to give 100% all the time. I know that. But their completion was to do what was required to stay with the majority. Maybe they were giving 50%. You know what I mean? OK that doesn't bother me. But when they are in front of me because they weren't allowing themselves to complete the tasks... Well that kinda bothered me when I knew it shouldn't. Everyone knows who is deserving and who is not.

So my new goal...take them. Be in front of them by doing it faster so I don't have to see them. It will only push me to be faster and stronger than where I am now. It's as simple as that.

How long can I milk the efforts from the Pasadena Half? Monday was steak (yes I kept it small and with veggies) and yesterday was pasta (only a small serving 1-2 C compared to my normal portion of a whole big plate and with a salad). Today-coconut water and yogurt for my snack.

The rose was picked from the vine up the house by Dave and left in my car for me :) The rose is called Don Juan. Hmmm.....

"Today is the first day of the rest of your life." So since the Pasadena Half is a past event, next is the Maui Half and then the Mud Run in B&U. What I won't do for friends! Kary wants another metal and I guess it's all going to her head. So Swamp Lilies....here we come.
