The high from doing this event has worn off, but not the fatigue. So I can look at the stats I posted yesterday and be critical. I know I should be happy that I've done this, and I am. Don't get me wrong because I'm happy I did this and I'm so happy I did this with Carmen & Barbara. But the pain has gone away (I didn't do anything active yesterday so I don't feel any pain HA!) and the feeling that each step forward, or even standing still, was a painful struggle is becoming a distant memory. So, you know looking at the stats, I REALLY HATE being in the bottom 50%.

So, here for my friends to see, is my new goal. It's been a goal (and a disappointing reality) in my head for many years, but I've never let anyone know this. I tried to post something like this last year, but I never did. I've never said this out load because then others will know and I would have to make this a effort or become a failure (oh I hate that word). I am going to try to be in the top 50% bracket for the Maui Half in September. I suppose it won't matter if it's the top 50% overall or in my age bracket. I'll start my goal small and hopefully obtainable. And if I don't make it in that race, then the next Firecracker 10K!

But there is it... In Black and White... In writing for all to see. And just to let you know, I'm reluctanly pushing Publish Post.

YIKES! I just looked at the times for last year's Maui race. It's a fast course. I need to be able to run this at a sub-10mm pace GULP!
