Wilson

PRd with 2:01:56

I knew if I wanted a sub-2:00, I needed to hit Orchard around 1:10. Missed it by around 5 minutes at 1:15.

I was thinking on the way up if there's anything I could have done differently during the race but I knew there wasn't anything I would regret. I think I raced well for what my abilities were at that point in time.

I was passed on the way down by at least 5 people, but I was able catch 3 and pass them before the finish. One was on Baldwin and I raced him down. When he slowed down I yelled to him not to stop because he was going to keep me going. But he said he didn't have anything left and to keep going. I love the people at this race!

Last run for Wilson

Trail Split 56:00
Down 34:36

This is the same time hack as May 6th for my uphill time. I was around 3:30 faster on the way down. Well this is a downhill race.

Also had my BF tested. Lost 2%!

8.6

Second run in my new gloves was 8.6.

Mental notes - 9:30 to the trail head
34:00 to First Water (9:30 minutes faster since my times have been 34:00 from Mira Monte).
Continue up to Orchard 1:16:33
Down 49:28
8.6 miles = 2:06:01
Lets see what I can shave off on race day... no dogs, no hikers, no trekking poles.

Double 5Ks

Saturday's train wasn't as quick as I had hoped. In fact, it was slower than my last 5K up there.

Round 1 36:16
Rest half the time
Round 2 35:30

Neither of those are qualifying times.
Time hack - Round 1 was 21:00 to the gates
Round 2 was 20:48

Mt Wilson

With a month left to the race, I guess I'd better get serious about the training or I'll be in a world of hurt on May 28th. Well I'll still be in a world of hurt, but hopefully not quite so bad if I get up on that trail.

Thursday-
Starting point was Miramonte -Lizzies
Rope 40:10
Trail split above the ropes-almost the Helipad 55:59
Down-Umm-around 38:00 ? I remember looking at my watch but due to user error, the stop button wasn't depressed correctly. Opps.
