Friday night consisted of ZERO working out. In fact, this whole weekend was one of reeeellllaxxxxaaaationnnn. Nope-no sky chair reading. Just relaxing. We went to ArtNight in Pasadena Friday night. One of the exhibits was up at Pasadena Art Center...you know up on the hill. OMG that was so cool. One them was a rainbow wormhole that you crawl through (or if you're vertically challenged you just bend and walk) and come out the other side to a kaleidascope window. COOL.
Then there was the exhibit of Greene & Greene. I want to learn furniture making. Maybe I can make my fortune that way, or at least have a house full of really cool looking stuff. God it was sensory overload! And we only got to 3 exhibits since this was only from 6-10.
Then Saturday consisted of D getting up and CLEANING THE HOUSE! Yes that's good. No Really it's GREAT! But I really was planning on laying in bed and guilt made me get up. Damm!
Sunday we walked to the Monrovia Art Fair. It was, oh I don't know, a bit of an eye-opener. I've been contemplating getting my resale license and selling my fused pieces either on-line or maybe trying to find a place to have it on consignment. The one drawback with turning a hobby into a business is that it's no longer a hobby and it becomes work. It this my passion? I don't know. I noticed alot of glass booths there, and 2 were from the same class I take on Thursdays. This isn't very encouraging. That just means I would be thrown into a large pool of other glass fusers. I know it's just a matter of getting a "signature" people want, a unique look that would be charateristically mine, but the "hobby" doesn't allow that kind of time. The 2 people that were from my class actually have "free time" to devote to this. Not to my advantage, but oh well, that's life.
Hey D-do you want to support me while I go and find my "signature style"?
